2011: Superleague Formula

Entering its fourth season, Superleague Formula is the most exciting single seater series in world motorsport.

At its heart is a powerful 750bhp race car capable of nearly 200mph designed to push drivers to the limits of their talent. With an emphasis on spectacular racing, that means large slick tyres, few driver aids and a push-to-pass system that offers drivers an additional 50bhp eight times per race.

The race format is also different to that of other championships, with three races per event; two 40-minute races, the second of which sees the finishing positions of race one reversed to give an unfamiliar line-up for the second, and a Super Final where the round’s top six points scorers battle it out over five laps to be crowned the weekend winner.
