Circuit Zolder

Corners: 10
Lap record: 1:14.089 (Sébastien Bourdais, Champ Car, 2007)

Built in 1963, Circuit Zolder – also known as Circuit Terlaemen – has hosted Formula One rounds on ten separate occasions. Unfortunately, the track is probably best remembered as the place Gilles Villeneuve lost his life during qualifying for the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix, an event that signified the beginning of the end for the Flemish circuit as a Formula One venue. The Belgian round was held there only once more before returning to the shortened Spa-Francorchamps where it has remained ever since.

This season sees Zolder maintain its tradition as the only venue to have appeared on every Superleague Formula calendar since the championship’s inception in 2008.
